My biggest go-to when I’m cold and can’t seem to get warm is taking a hot bath. Not only does it warm up your skin, if you get it hot enough for long enough you can raise your core temperature and take the edge off. I normally take a hot bath as a part of my Sunday night ritual. In the winter I take them as often as I feel like it. Recently I read a detox bath recipe claiming to be “the best bath for a cold”. It calls for 2 cups epsom salt, 1 cup baking soda, and 1/3 cup ground powdered ginger. I use this at least once a week. Ginger is on the “warming list” too! Get your bath as hot as you can stand it. Your skin is your largest organ. They say it takes about 20 to completely open your pores, then soak another 20 minutes while your pores absorb the goodies you put in your bath water. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your bath. I find this works! It was cold and cloudy most of the day and today’s bath really helped me.
