Well, I ended up having today off work. It was good because I needed a day to fight this common cold. The sun was out and it got up to like 61 degrees. That was so refreshing. I still spent most of the day cuddled up to a box of tissue and a bottle of mucinex. I tried all the easy at home remedies. Honey and cinnamon. Apple cider vinegar. Chicken bone broth with fresh garlic, cayenne, and turmeric. Fresh ginger tea. Essential oils. Steam. And now I think I need a hot toddy. (Did you know brandy is antibacterial and thins mucus?) So today my battle was not with the Abominable Winter Blues. It was with this dang Abominable Common Cold! Best thing I tried was the “yoga for sick days” and “yoga for cold and flu” there are several variations on Pinterest. I honestly tried bits and pieces of all of them. I was skeptical about any poses that required dropping my head because I thought it would only result in my sinuses throbbing. Surprisingly it didn’t. And the yoga didn’t heal me, but it did make me feel better for at least an hour or two.

I hope you’re all better soon. I’ve never tried yoga for colds. I will have to do that next time I’m sick. Thanks!

    Thanks. I’m going to start putting in links. I literally get interrupted at least 5 times every time I sit down to write a blog entry. Either my husband or dog or email or text or phone call or this week… blowing my nose. Lol. I’ve just opened my 5th box of tissue. No fever no headache no body ache no cough no sore throat. Just constant aggravating sinus drainage. This blog is an execution of will power! Links will come as soon as I feel better.
